Hilton Hotel Cardiff - Moro and Alison - 5th Aug 07

From time to time it’s a refreshing change to hit the bright lights, chrome and glass of the urban environment to challenge our creativity and artistic vision. New Zealander, Moro and his Welsh bride Alison were amazingly co-operative and keen to get some wedding pictures that were a blend of traditional and contemporary shots for a unique album telling the story of the day from preparations to “Oompah band”.
I (Bob) particularly like the first shot taken looking into a two sided mirrored pillar outside the restaurant … Ali and Moro are looking at each other and at the camera at the same time, the patterned glass behind making a surreal background. The shot in the lifts took a little more organising and with normal hotel guests going up and down like a fiddler’s elbow we nearly abandoned this shot, but persistance paid off …
The Maori singing after each toast added a real extra dimension to the proceedings and meant so much to Moro as did the message from home read in his mother tongue. It was clear from the outset that Ali and Moro were planning a day that would be remembered by all that came for a long time hence.
