Ebbw Vale and Llansantffraed - Joanna and Stephen - 25th August 2007

If one ever wanted proof of our service and dedication then Jo and Steve’s wedding fits the bill. Leaving Tintern at 6.30am to arrive at the hairdresser’s in Ebbw Vale for 7.30am, glued to our viewfinders right through the day until fireworks and eventually getting home at 11.30pm shooting some 1200 pictures.
But even if it was hard work …. we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves too! In life, exceptional “anything”, requires training, practice, dedication, passion and extra-ordinary effort. The reward is the satisfaction of a job well done and knowing that we have given our best …. we do this for every single one of our couples.
There aren’t many services where you and your “work” are going to part of someone’s life, for life, and we care passionately about what we produce for our brides and grooms, because it is a PRIVILEGE to be invited to be a special part of someone’s special day.
The great thing about weddings “up the valleys” is the community spirit and the fact that everyone pulls out the stops to give the couple a day they will never forget, nothing is too much trouble.
Fran and I were quickly assimilated into the family and you get the feeling that you are a treasured relation, rather than a photographer providing a service.
Everyone involved made us feel so welcome and bent over backwards to make sure we were “properly accommodated”. And that, in turn, inspires you to work as hard as you can to try and give something extra-special back.
A heartfelt thanks to all for their kindness and hospitality, both families, Jackie and Geoff (friendly vicars !!) at St. David’s Church, Gwen for the bacon buttie, Marsh for the lift and John the Rolls driver. The suprano singer (whose name I don’t have, sorry!) for a performance of “Piu Jesu” during the signing of the register that quite literally made the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end.
As ever we were also looked after royally at Llansantffraed Court, thank you Mike, Kasha and Rhiannon. PS. Love the new wooden benches!
Truly a day to remember …….
