St Marys Ross on Wye and The Chase Hotel - Rob and Jo

As full-time wedding photographers everyday at Abbey House Studios is taken up with weddings in some form or other, but we look forward to getting dolled up and getting the car packed ready for the off … today the forecast was looking horrendous and we had our big bundle of white wedding umbrellas with us, just in case … We travelled on the back roads up to Ross on Wye to cover the separate preparations of Jo and Rob. The cameras are time synchronized and run together at the viewing so each can see what the other was up to! And guess what, it was pouring with rain.

We met our couple for the first time last February but soon got into their personality and discovered exactly the coverage they wanted. As you look through this “brief taster” you will see a very free flowing and fun loving style without losing our beautiful lighting, elegance and sophistication. Rob is a visual arts professional and had a very clear idea of how his pictures should look.

A big thank you to to Revd. Jill and her team at St. Mary’s Ross On Wye for making us feel so very welcome and making it very easy for us to do a fab job for the couple. I only wish all our vicars were like this ….

The reception was held at The Chase Hotel at Ross-on-wye, with its beautifully kept gardens. The venue was important to the bride as both mum and nan had been married at the exact same venue previously, setting a bit of a family tradition. Again the team at the Chase were very photographer friendly and contributed to making our day that much more enjoyable. Thank you for your help and consideration, it makes a huge difference.

The boy’s did a grand job with very high spirits keeping us all entertained, even during the speeches their table was the centre of mischief and fun!!

A romantic stroll after dinner was just the ideal time to catch some beautiful light and have some fun too. As during the earlier part of the day we were making the most of the opportunities on offer between the rain showers.

Our thanks as always go to everyone involved in helping us in somewhat testing conditions. Another amazing and satisfying day …
