Marriot, St. Pierre, Chepstow - Ben and Sarah
Summer is a busy time of the year for us and with all our weddings, pre-wedding shoots and venue visits we seem to be more “out” than “in”. The first of our two weddings this weekend was nice and local for us at the Marriot, St Pierre Resort just outside of Chepstow for the marriage of Sarah and Ben.
They both live and work “up-north” and their guests seem to have travelled far and wide to join in with the marriage celebrations.
Sarah and Ben booked us almost 2 years ago and we have been having fun ever since! I think it’s true to say that Sarah was more than a little bit concerened about her photography … but after a fun Pre-Wed session with us we got her to trust us (a little bit!) to do the very best job for her and this certainly paid dividends today! It is so very important to take the time to get to know our couples well in advance of the big day.
The Revd. Julian White, put everyone at their ease with his unique style … ensuring that everyone enjoyed the ceremony and will remember this special occasion. After leaving the church drinks were served on the lawns, complete with an ice cream cart … Ben being up front in the queue first! (The honey and ginger flavour was amazing …)
After the family “mantlepiece” shots we went for a gentle stroll around the grounds, back to the guests, covered the speeches and retired somewhere quiet whilst the guests enjoyed their buffet-style wedding breakfast.
Our evening romantic session was a welcome break and with 2 golf buggies we proceeded to terrorize the golfers on the golf course! The light was just perfect and we got some amazing images that will be treasured for a lifetime.
We packed up after the first dance and headed for home.
Our many thanks to everyone involved in this smashing day, Sarah and Ben enjoy Africa, and we’ll see you soon.
