Lemore Manor, Herefordshire - Martin and Michelle

Today gave us more fabulous weather for Martin and Michelle’s wedding at Lemore Manor, Herefordshire. We have certainly been blessed with sunshine for our four weddings this week. It’s nice to get the season started with a bang!

With our pre-wedding shoot and venue visit we have got to know Martin and Michelle really well and had the privilege of meeting mum and dad earlier in the year at Lemore Manor, a bit of a trek for the guys as they live in Bedfordshire. They settled on Lemore Manor after lots of internet research (which is how they found us)! and they have driven miles around the country seeing all sorts of places and suppliers but fell in love with Lemore Manor and it’s easy to see why. Tucked away in a quiet corner of Herefordshire it’s a lovely building and fabulously appointed. The owners Ben and Margaret are the ideal hosts, nothing is too much trouble.

We arrived to a hive of activity. Preparations were well under way in the girls room while Martin was enjoying a quiet cup of tea with Grandad and his relatives,
after having had relaxing dip in Lemore’s Hot Tub.

The ceremony was just perfect and when Michelle entered I don’t think there was a dry eye in the house, she looked simply stunning. All the flowers, bouquets and door dressings were stunning, complementing every single element of colour and design that had been woven into a rich tapestry.

We captured the usual family “mantlepiece” shots (they are the ones that sit in the 7 × 5 silver frames on the mantlepiece in pride of place – hence the name). Important family history and very necessary. Then we had some fun with the bridesmaids, their partners and best man Neil.

With half an hour to go before the speeches and meal we found some glorious light to take a few shots of the couple, the main “portrait” shoot being scheduled for after the meal in much kinder, softer, light.

Neil stole the show with his bestman’s speech, he had the party in stitches. We think he missed his vocation, he should have been a comedian.

The meal was superb (thanks guys!!) and guitarist Graham (who had driven from Selby in Yorkshire, more evidence of the meticulous planning and effort that went into the wedding) entertained everyone brilliantly throughout the meal. (Needless to say the guys had driven up to Selby just to hear him play!)

After the meal we captured some lovely portraits out in the setting sun, one of our favourite times of the day when the light is just perfect and everyone is totally relaxed, no more speeches etc just a big party to come…. and then on to the first dance.

Have a great honeymoon, give us a ring when you get back … there’s a few photographs to look through!

Our thanks to Martin and Michelle, both families, Lemore Manor, the caterers and Graham the guitarist for a very special day.
