Kingscote Barn - Adam and Catherine

Kingscote Barn is a new venue for us and we were very impressed with the light, airy space of the barn and it’s lovely gallery. Fran set off to Catherine’s house. in N. Bristol for 9.30 and Bob met the boys at Tortworth Court (Just off M5 J14) for the preliminary pictures in fine weather. The ceremony was at 2pm with a coach for most guests who were staying at Tortworth and a minibus for Adam and the boys team.

South Gloucestershire registrars allowed us a few key shots to keep our “freestyle” coverage “story line” going … faking it at the end is never the same. One of the things that makes our photographs different is the feeling, soul and emotion contained within them, which can only be captured as they authentically occur. That’s were the real skill is … timing and anticipation honed over many, many weddings.

We got to know Catherine and Adam (a recommendation from Laura and Jamie) over a couple of years and we were privileged to be invited as guests for the day. Catherine put a lot of time and effort (and spreadsheets) into the wedding and all went without a hitch.

The easy-listening male duo were superb providing background for the pre-breakfast part of the day were superb and appreciated by everybody, Neil the DJ taking over with a smooth 70’s sound for the evening …. the (inevitable) rain set in at about 7pm but that didn’t spoil the spectacle of watching an impressive firework display at the end of the evening, on the terrace, under umbrellas.
Our white wedding brollies are (regrettably) see-ing lots of action this year!

The team at Kingscote Barn did an excellent job, the food was of an extremely high standard and we hope that we can work there again.
