Clearwell Castle - Daniel and Catherine
It is always a privilege to be someone’s wedding photographers and it brings with it a great feeling of warmth, happiness, laughter and often butterflies in our tummies at seeing our couples at the top of the ceremony room exchanging their vows with each other and today was no exception. More so when we are able to establish a good relationship prior to the wedding.
Catherine and Daniel’s big day had arrived and Clearwell Castle was our venue. It was so nice to be greeted at the door by Val, today’s front of house manager … with a huge smile!
Fran met up with the girls in the Gresham Suite to a big hug from Catherine. Rob anxiously waited for the boys who were fighting traffic on the way down to the castle.
There always seems to be hundreds of little details to attend to in the finishing stages … including hair, make-up, dresses, shoes, jewelery, finishing glances in the tall mirror and we were off! Down the oak stairs and into the ceremony room filled with family and friends waiting to witness and join in the celebrations.
Straight after the ceremony we all gathered outside on the steps for the “everyone” photograph that is the hallmark of a Clearwell wedding and then onto the green and perfectly mown lawns for delicious canapes and drinks … to the sound of everyone having fun on a perfect summer’s afternoon.
The few, necessary, family formals in the can we turned our full attention to Catherine and Daniel for some beautiful portraits in and around the lush green grounds with colourful beds of flowers everywhere.
Catherine and Daniel had very kindly invited us to stay for the wonderfully prepared meal as their guests, a very welcome treat, thank you both very much.
I think it would be true to say that the guys got married with some “style”. Thanks to all who helped make this surely a day to remember.
Enjoy your honeymoon both, your stunning album will be wating for you when you get back!
