Clearwell Castle
Clearwell Castle is a stunning setting adjacent to the beautiful Wye Valley on the edge of the Royal Forest of Dean and is a specialist wedding venue.
It was built to replace an older house in the early 18th century in Gothic style with battlements and an imposing castellated gateway leading to a courtyard. Clearwell Castle is completely self contained in its own grounds with superb accommodation and it is an ideal place for superb wedding photography.

The ceremony room is magnificent and resembles a rather grand chapel, the red carpetted aisle is long and impressive, in fact, everything at Clearwell is elegant and sumptuous.
Photo-opportunities abound, whatever the weather. Stone mullioned
windows allow natural daylight to flood into the big airy spaces, a gift for the “natural light” photographer. The landscaped grounds are extensive and well kept, at the rear there is a lake (complete with a family of ducks) and wooded walk and there are lots of nooks and crannies all over the place that make for superb photographs.
An imposing stone staircase leading up to the entrance is ideal for a big group shot of everyone attending.
