Wedding Photographer Llansantffraed Court Hotel

Nestled at the foot of the Black Mountains, close by Abergavenny in Monmouthshire, Llansantffraed Court Hotel stands in approximately 20 acres of private landscaped grounds with lake and fountain. The beautiful orange brick work and fabulous regency style windows make this an exciting venue with lots of opportunities for elegant and romantic wedding photographs.

The wedding photographer at Llansantffraed Court is spoilt for choice with all the impressive features, a stone staircase at the buildings side for a relatively easy "everyone" shot, a flat level terrace with grass down to the lake, plenty of tree coverage and on the north and west side of the building views across the Black Mountains.

Choosing your wedding photographer is one of the most important decisions that you can make and is probably not one of the areas to try and make significant savings on.

Whilst cameras are doubtless easier to use and give better results these days, wedding photography is much more than equipment ... it's about light, capturing expression and the "decisive" moment. Where you see the major difference in the work of a top flight wedding photographer is (oddly enough) what is *not* in the picture but rather a feeling or emotion elicited by the picture ... and that's where the investment is. When you see an album or story-book from one of these highly skilled (and, yes, rather expensive) wedding photographers it is immediately obvious. If you are thinking of engaging a relation or well-meaning friend to shoot your wedding pictures then please take the trouble to see one of these albums before you make a decision. (There is one available to view at Llansantffraed Court Hotel if you ask your designated wedding co-ordinator.)

Bob and Fran at Abbey House Studios work all day into the evening and on to the first dance or fireworks telling the complete story of your perfect day in a contemporary story-telling manner. It's always an advantage to make the most of that beautiful golden light in the half hour before the sun goes down (which very few wedding photographers seem to bother with) but makes a tremendous difference to your album.

Having made the decision to have your wedding at Llansantffraed, where the grounds and photo opportunities are a big part your wedding, please invest wisely on your photographer .... they are not all created equal by any means and a quick look around at various "real" albums will quickly show up the differences.

On a day that is never going to be repeated and where relatively large sums are involved ... trusting your wedding photography to someone inexperienced and ill-prepared is probably not wise. Go for the best you can afford ... after all is said and done, the wine drunk, the food eaten and long forgotten the only thing that remains of the day are your memories prompted by your photographs.

And finally make sure that you leave time in your schedule to enjoy yourselves!
