What is a Fairy Portrait Event?
Fairy events are your child’s chance to become a real fairy for their very own magical and enchanted limited edition photo-shoot.

Your child is magically transformed into a cheeky pixie or woodland fairy for a unique portrait that will bring them and you joy in the years to come.
Beautiful light, realistic stage props and artistic vision combine to create a full sized fairy dell inside our roadshow venue for only a few days a year. When the time is right, pixie dust swirls through our studio making it a fairy haven for children aged 3 to 11 yrs …. making their dreams a reality!
Your child will believe they are a REAL fairy – we even use a special light inside of our fairy lamp that glows with each camera ‘click’ … if you look carefully you will see tiny wings inside the lamp – Your child has caught a real fairy and it is theirs to talk to and admire whilst they are in our magical fairytale land.
The dell takes the Tintern tinker fairies approximately 6 hours to construct and get everything just right … Once built, only TRUE fairies can use it! Click here to see the ‘building of the dell’
Fairy events only run for a limited time .. pixie dust is actually pretty hard to come by and we need loads of it to make all the magic happen!
All costumes and props are provided and chosen to compliment the quality and ambiance of your child’s fairy portrait. The woodland fairy in its green and gold tutu enhances the amazing, rich evening glow feel of the dell whilst our stylish fantasy pixie costume gives a romantic, floaty feel and an injection of colour with it’s vivid plums and pinks whilst your child roams entranced through the dell’s foliage, toadstools and over the bridge with its babbling brook below … 
For little boys, who love to sit and fish in the stream from the bridge and catch glow-worms in a jar we have a range of sizes of cut off denim dungarees which look very handsome!
The timeless, almost antiqued ‘storybook’ feel of your child’s fairy portrait will capture your heart and those of friends and relatives.
How does my child’s portrait happen?
This section is for adults only – children must believe that the dell and all its helpers are real!

BOOKING
A £25 booking fee (non-refundable) ensures your child’s shoot in the dell – this is given back to you as vouchers to spend against anything on our fairy roadshow price list, ordering happens on the day.
It’s hard to tell how much you will love your child’s fairy portraits until you see them for yourself and that’s why we leave the investment up to you at your viewing – without obligation to buy anything and no hard sell.
We will ask for a few details about your child/children so that we can call them by their name when they arrive and have costumes in the right sizes ready for them to choose from.
ON THE DAY
When you arrive for your shoot, our fairy Godmother, Fran will be there to welcome you, issue vouchers and complete paperwork whilst making a fuss about the fairies that are hiding in the dell to excite your child and gain their interest … We ask that you help dress your child and be present throughout.
We will shoot as many images as your child will allow, changing costumes, poses and use a variety of props to create amazing artwork. Capturing smiles, thoughtful looks, wide eyes of wonderment and giggles galore!
After the session has finished there is a short ‘quiet time’ for your child to change, relax and wind down … a chance to explore your goody bag, have your child’s face painted as a reward (complimentary on us!), and order a coffee if you wish. Then you’ll be invited in to an adjoining suite to view your fairy portraits on the day. This is a fabulous experience and there is often not a dry eye in the house! Your child will be fascinated to see themselves as a real fairy and be totally captivated by the whole experience.
CHOOSING YOUR PICTURES
Bob helps at your viewing. He’s with you and is there to offer his artistic input, advise on styles of presentation and help you choose your favourite images … with absolutely no pressure. Bob completely ‘gets’ what the photographer was intending with each of your images and is also a highly qualified, award winning Master Photographer himself ( as well as being Sheryl’s Dad!)
The viewing session is the time to place any orders you may wish to place.
We have plenty of packages and options to suit every budget from £50. As a guide we suggest our fairy parents expect to invest from £200 and up on their fairy portraits to maximise value and do their child’s experience and the pictures justice. This is only a suggestion and you will never be under pressure to buy
